Galdi manufactures filling machines for both fresh and shelf-stable fruit juices. For shelf-stable products, our specialized HOT FILL configuration uses the juice’s own heat (at 80-90°C) to sterilize the package, eliminating the need for separate sterilization systems.

Our machines are a competitive alternative to aseptic filling, offering multi-format capabilities with changeovers in minutes, compatibility with all major packaging types, and advanced dosing systems for various product viscosities.

Our machines are compatible with locally sourced gable top packaging and support several formats (57x57mm, 70x70mm, 70x90mm, 91x91mm and 95x95mm). Please refer to datasheet for capacity per carton format.

Hot Fill technology is a more cost-effective investment that preserves the natural freshness and flavor profile of the juice while still providing a highly competitive shelf life compared to Aseptic filling. It eliminates the need for complex cleanrooms or hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) sterilization, simplifying your operational requirements.

When packaged using Galdi’s Hot Fill technology, high-acid beverages like fruit juices can achieve a shelf life of 8 to 12 months in ambient conditions. The process fills the product at 80–90°C, using the heat to naturally sterilize the carton and ensure long-term freshness.

The actual product changeover on the filling machine itself takes less than 3 minutes, as the line can be emptied automatically to prepare for the new flavor. For a standard transition from one juice to another, a full rinse is often unnecessary; instead, the new product is used to push the remaining previous product through the line, with only a few cartons discharged at the start to ensure 100% purity. While some manufacturers may choose to perform a 20-minute rinse between specific products as part of their internal quality protocol, our technology is designed to provide maximum production agility, allowing you to respond to market demands with almost zero downtime.

Yes, our machines are designed to efficiently package juices containing pulp or particles. While the transition between products is seamless, please note that switching to a different juice may take slightly longer to ensure all pulp residue is completely rinsed from the system.

Hot Fill is ideal for high-acid beverages where the heat effectively eliminates harmful bacteria while maintaining product quality. This includes a wide range of fruits such as orange, guava, pomelo, lemon, and other acidic varieties.
